You used to be able to add a LinkedIn link to your personal Facebook page but recently, FAcebook have changed it so that you can only add it to your facebook business page, or fan page.
It took me a while to find out how to do it but here’s the way to add a LinkedIn link to Facebook on the left side.
Have fun!
If you try to add LinkedIn to your personal page, you will probably get this message:
“Facebook no longer supports user profile tabs”
Here are step by step instructions to add LinkedIn to a Facebook page :
1 – Make sure you have ADMIN privileges for your Facebook page
2 – Go to this here:
http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?v=wall&ref=appd&id=6394109615
3 – Click ADD TO MY PAGE (top left) and then select the page you want to add it to and click “add to page”
4 – Go to your Facebook page, and click EDIT PAGE (top left)
5 – On the left sidebar, click on “Apps”. You should see “My LinkedIn Profile” in the list of applications, click the “Edit Settings” and under “Tab: Available (add)” click ADD and then OKAY
6 – Then under “My LinkedIn Profile”, click “Go To App”
7 – You are now on the application config for your Facebook page, enter the appropriate LinkedIn Public Profile Url or Company Profile Url and click SAVE
8 – Go back to your Facebook page and you should either see the tab at the top or click the “>>” tab to move it over.
